Temperatures will be cooler along the coast, with Boston expected around 80°F and Cape Cod and the Islands hovering in the low 70s.
Light seabreezes will provide some relief for coastal residents, but forecasters say the overall pattern remains “warm, dry, and sunny” across Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut. Normal highs for early October are typically in the upper 60s, putting today’s forecast 10 to 15 degrees above seasonal averages.
The National Weather Service notes that this stretch of dry warmth continues a mild start to October, with no significant rainfall expected through the beginning of the week. Commuters and outdoor enthusiasts can expect clear skies and comfortable conditions through sunset.
