Norton, Mass. – Warm and sunny weather will dominate much of Massachusetts Tuesday, but residents in Norton should prepare for a shift by Thursday as showers return and winds strengthen near major routes like Route 123 and Route 495.

According to the National Weather Service in Boston, Tuesday, May 27 will bring summer-like conditions with a high near 77°F. Winds will remain calm during the morning, becoming southwest at 6 mph later in the day. Tuesday night will stay mostly cloudy with a mild low around 56°F — a comfortable evening for outdoor plans.

However, by Thursday, conditions are expected to change. The NWS predicts a 30% chance of showers after noon on May 29. Gusts up to 9 mph will accompany cloudier skies and a drop in temperatures to around 69°F. Commuters along Route 123 and Route 140 should expect slick roads and plan for slower drive times. Thursday night carries a 50% chance of rain, and residents are urged to secure loose outdoor items.

Looking ahead, a chance of showers persists Friday and Saturday, with highs in the mid-70s. Rain chances remain at 40% both days, and winds may gust up to 10 mph. Sunday clears out with mostly sunny skies and a high near 73°F, offering a welcome break from midweek wet weather.

More updates may follow later this week as Thursday’s rain potential develops.
