Boston, MA – Massachusetts will enjoy a stretch of mild spring weather early this week, but colder temperatures and possible snow are on the way by Thursday.

According to the National Weather Service, Tuesday will be sunny with a high near 58°F. Winds from the south will pick up, with gusts reaching 24 mph by the afternoon. Overnight temperatures will drop to 35°F, with partly cloudy skies.

Wednesday will bring mostly sunny conditions and a high of 45°F, but a storm system moving in from the west could bring a wintry mix by early Thursday. Forecasters predict a 30% chance of snow between 7 a.m. and 10 a.m. Thursday before transitioning to rain as temperatures climb to 45°F. The evening could see another round of precipitation, with a chance of rain before 9 p.m.

Drivers should prepare for potential slick spots during the Thursday morning commute, especially along major highways like I-90 and I-93.

The five-day outlook shows a return to mostly dry conditions by Friday, with a high near 51°F. Saturday will be cloudier, with temperatures reaching 62°F before another chance of rain on Sunday.

Residents should stay updated on changing forecasts and prepare for shifting conditions as spring arrives in New England.
