Boston, MA – A cool, dry night is in store across Massachusetts and Rhode Island, with clouds gradually breaking apart toward sunrise Tuesday. Temperatures will dip into the 40s and 50s, with the coolest readings inland and slightly milder conditions along the coast.

According to the National Weather Service in Boston, cloudy skies will linger through the evening across eastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island before clearing late tonight. Cape Cod and the Islands may hold onto cloud cover a bit longer, but conditions there are also expected to improve by early morning.

Cities such as Worcester, Springfield, and Providence will see temperatures drop into the lower 50s under clearing skies, while Boston will hover near the mid-50s. Coastal spots including Plymouth and New Bedford will remain a few degrees warmer, while inland valleys could briefly dip into the upper 40s.

Drivers may notice some reduced visibility in patchy clouds early tonight, though no major hazards are expected. Cooler overnight air will make for a crisp Tuesday morning commute across much of southern New England.

Clearing skies will set the stage for a brighter, more comfortable day ahead Tuesday, with dry conditions expected to continue.
