BOSTON, Mass. – Warm sunshine continues to dominate Boston’s skies this weekend, but showers are likely to arrive by Tuesday night, breaking the streak of dry weather across eastern Massachusetts.

According to the National Weather Service in Norton, highs will climb into the low 80s Saturday, Sunday, and Monday with mostly clear nights. The stretch of dry weather will end Tuesday as clouds build, followed by a 60% chance of rain by late evening. Gusty southwest winds up to 21 mph could accompany the showers.

The bright, mild weekend should favor outdoor plans across Boston, Worcester, and the Cape. Morning lows will stay in the 50s, keeping nights comfortable. Dry roads and light winds will make travel easy statewide through Monday, but commuters should prepare for slower travel Tuesday evening as showers spread across the region.

Residents are encouraged to take advantage of the warm, calm days before the shift, keeping umbrellas and rain jackets ready for Tuesday night. Conditions are expected to stay unsettled into Wednesday, with a 70% chance of rain and cooler highs in the upper 60s.

Clear skies will likely return Thursday, with temperatures staying mild.
