BALTIMORE, Md. – Sunshine and dry skies will dominate across Maryland this weekend, with warm temperatures holding steady into early next week before the next chance of rain arrives by midweek.

According to the National Weather Service in Baltimore/Washington, Saturday will stay mainly sunny with highs in the upper 70s to mid-80s across urban and bay areas, while the mountains remain in the upper 60s to low 70s. Winds will stay light, out of the south at 5 to 10 mph.

Sunday brings similar conditions, with a few passing clouds and highs near 80 to 88 degrees east of the Blue Ridge. Western Maryland should top out in the mid- to upper 70s. Winds shift slightly north but remain calm.

By Monday, skies stay mostly clear with highs near 79 to 87 in central Maryland and around 70 in the higher elevations. Winds turn northeast at 5 to 10 mph, helping keep humidity in check.

The NWS says the next measurable rain may not arrive until the middle of next week, leaving roads, outdoor events, and weekend travelers largely unaffected. Residents should take advantage of the stretch of dry days before unsettled weather returns.
