Baltimore, MD – Temperatures across Maryland, northern Virginia, and Washington, D.C., are expected to climb into the 50s Monday, bringing mild conditions for late February.
According to the National Weather Service Baltimore/Washington, a few high clouds will move in from the west throughout the afternoon and evening. Despite the cloud cover, temperatures will remain pleasant, with highs ranging from the low 50s in northern areas to upper 50s in southern and urban regions.
Cities such as Baltimore, Washington, and Hagerstown will see highs around 58°F, while areas closer to the mountains, like Cumberland and Winchester, may stay slightly cooler. The warmest spots, including Charlottesville and Fredericksburg, VA, could approach 60°F.
This warming trend provides a break from winter’s chill, making outdoor activities more enjoyable. However, a shift in weather patterns later in the week could bring cooler temperatures or precipitation. Drivers should remain aware of changing road conditions, especially during evening commutes when visibility may be reduced by cloud cover.
