Baltimore, MD – A frigid Thursday night will give way to a gradual warm-up across Maryland this weekend, offering a welcome reprieve from the icy conditions. Temperatures are expected to rise above freezing during the day, with highs nearing the mid-40s by Sunday and Monday.
According to the National Weather Service, Thursday night’s lows will dip to 21°F under mostly clear skies. Friday will bring similar chilly conditions, with highs around 34°F, but the sun will remain dominant throughout the day. Drivers along I-95 and surrounding routes are encouraged to watch for icy patches during the morning and late evening hours as temperatures stay below freezing overnight.
Saturday marks the start of a noticeable warming trend. Highs will reach the mid-30s with calm winds and partly cloudy skies, making it a more comfortable day for outdoor activities. Sunday will see the biggest jump in temperatures, climbing to 44°F with mostly cloudy conditions, while Sunday night dips only to 27°F.
By Monday, the region will experience highs in the upper 40s and plenty of sunshine, setting a positive tone for the new week. Overnight lows will hover near 32°F, meaning the risk of frost and ice on local roadways will persist during the mornings.
Residents planning travel or outdoor plans should dress for chilly mornings but prepare for milder afternoons, especially by Sunday and Monday. Stay updated on localized road conditions and forecasts through the National Weather Service or local updates.
