Baltimore, MD – Drivers across Baltimore could encounter slick streets and reduced visibility before the Monday morning commute as rain spreads into central Maryland overnight and continues through much of the day.

Saturday remains bright and mild with sunshine pushing temperatures to around 55°F, offering calm conditions across the Baltimore metro and surrounding counties. Clouds gradually increase overnight as temperatures settle near 40°F.

According to the National Weather Service Baltimore/Washington office, showers develop Sunday night with a 60 to 90 percent chance of rain, becoming widespread Monday with temperatures rising to around 67°F. Southerly winds could gust up to 32 mph, and isolated thunderstorms may develop during the afternoon.

Rainfall totals between 0.10 and 0.25 inches could create wet pavement along major travel routes including I-95, I-83, and the Baltimore Beltway (I-695), particularly during the early commute hours Monday.

Colder air moves in Monday night as temperatures fall to around 32°F, allowing rain showers to briefly mix with wet snow after 2 a.m. Tuesday. Accumulation is expected to remain under half an inch, mainly on grassy surfaces.

Sunshine returns Tuesday with highs near 38°F, followed by gradually improving conditions midweek. Additional advisories could be issued if thunderstorms strengthen Monday afternoon across central Maryland.
