Baltimore, MD – A Tornado Watch has been issued for all locations along and east of the Allegheny Mountains, including Baltimore, until 7 a.m. on Friday. The watch was announced on Thursday evening as severe weather is expected to develop overnight. The National Weather Service (NWS) has warned that the tornado threat will increase from southern and eastern Virginia, moving northward.

According to the NWS Baltimore/Washington, residents are urged to stay vigilant and have multiple ways to receive warnings, including through phones, TV, and weather radios. It’s also crucial to know where to seek shelter in case a tornado warning is issued.

Following the potential severe weather, Baltimore’s weather is expected to stabilize. Friday’s high will reach 82°F with a 95% chance of drizzle in the morning. The weekend looks brighter, with sunny skies and highs of 86°F on Saturday and 83°F on Sunday. The start of next week will be mostly sunny, with temperatures in the low 80s, cooling slightly to the mid-60s overnight. The clear weather pattern is expected to continue through Thursday, with highs remaining in the low 80s and no significant weather disruptions forecasted.
