Baltimore, MD – A dry and sunny Wednesday across much of Maryland will give way to a wet end to the week as rain moves into the Baltimore-Washington region early Thursday.
According to the National Weather Service Baltimore/Washington office, today’s highs will reach between 54 and 61 degrees under mostly sunny skies. However, clouds will begin building tonight with lows dipping into the mid-30s to mid-40s.
Rain is expected to begin overnight and become widespread by Thursday morning. Highs on Thursday will range from 51 to 60 degrees with overnight lows between 42 and 50. The showers will continue into Friday, with temperatures holding steady in the low 50s to low 60s. The area of low pressure responsible is expected to linger, making for a soggy commute to end the workweek.
Motorists should anticipate slick roads, particularly during morning and evening rush hours on Thursday and Friday. Residents are advised to allow for extra travel time and keep umbrellas and rain gear on hand.
While no flooding is currently forecast, NWS will continue monitoring conditions. Stay tuned to local alerts for updates and potential advisories through the end of the week.
