Bel Air, MD – The National Weather Service in Baltimore/Washington has issued a Frost Advisory for Cecil and Southeast Harford Counties, in effect from 2 a.m. to 9 a.m. EDT Tuesday, as temperatures are expected to fall to near 32°F overnight.

Forecasters warn that frost formation is likely, especially in sheltered and rural areas, where early morning temperatures could briefly dip below freezing. The cold may damage or kill sensitive outdoor vegetation if left uncovered.

Residents are encouraged to bring plants indoors or cover them with protective materials before temperatures drop overnight. Pet owners should also ensure outdoor animals have adequate shelter from the cold.

This advisory marks one of the first widespread frost events of the fall season for northeastern Maryland, signaling a shift toward cooler late-October weather.
