BALTIMORE, Md. – After a gray, damp start, Baltimore is set to brighten up as drier, cooler Fall air sweeps into central Maryland by midweek. Patchy drizzle early Tuesday will give way to sunshine, breezy afternoons, and crisp mornings ideal for commuters and outdoor plans.

According to the National Weather Service in Sterling, patchy drizzle and low clouds linger through early Tuesday morning before skies begin clearing from the north. North winds will strengthen to 15 mph, with gusts up to 25 mph along I-95 and the Inner Harbor. Daytime highs will reach the upper 60s Tuesday, followed by a stretch of bright, calm days through Friday.

High pressure over the Mid-Atlantic will lock in clear skies from Wednesday onward, delivering the most comfortable stretch of October weather so far. Highs near 70°F and overnight lows in the 40s will make for perfect conditions for fall sports, yard work, and evening walks along the waterfront.

Drivers along I-95 and I-83 should experience smooth travel conditions midweek, though morning fog could form briefly in low-lying areas west of the city. Gusty winds ease by Wednesday night, and visibility will remain excellent through the end of the workweek.

Looking ahead, warmer air returns by the weekend with highs climbing into the mid-70s Saturday. A few scattered showers are possible Sunday as a weak front crosses the region, but no widespread rain or major impacts are expected.
