BALTIMORE, Md. – Frost coats rooftops and glimmers on car hoods across the Inner Harbor this early Saturday as a Frost Advisory remains in effect through 9 a.m. A chill in the low 30s has crept into suburbs from Towson to Ellicott City, signaling a seasonal turning point for central Maryland — the first real brush with winter air before Halloween week begins.

According to the National Weather Service in Baltimore/Washington, today’s morning frost will lift quickly under increasing sunshine, pushing afternoon highs near 61°F. Winds stay light out of the northwest, and skies turn partly to mostly cloudy by late day. Residents are advised to protect tender plants and garden vegetation until temperatures rebound this afternoon.

Sunday and Monday bring the best weather stretch of the week, with highs in the low 60s and crisp, blue skies — ideal for outdoor cleanup, decorating, or weekend drives along I-70 and I-95. Morning lows will still flirt with the upper 30s to low 40s, but without frost risk inside the metro.

By midweek, a shift in the pattern begins. Forecasters expect increasing clouds Tuesday and a 30–40% chance of light rain by Wednesday as a coastal system brushes the Mid-Atlantic. The rest of the week looks seasonable and mild heading into Halloween, with no early snow or severe chill on the horizon — yet.

For now, Baltimore can enjoy a classic late-October weekend: frosty dawns, sunny middays, and a quiet countdown to trick-or-treat season.
