Baltimore, Md. – Drivers along I-95 and residents near Baltimore Harbor should brace for possible flooding overnight as a Coastal Flood Advisory remains in effect until 6 a.m. Monday. Streets near the Inner Harbor and low-lying neighborhoods face the greatest risk, and officials urge commuters to allow extra travel time Monday morning.

According to the National Weather Service, thunderstorms and showers could develop late Sunday into early Monday, with a 90 percent chance of rain overnight. Localized flooding may impact roadways along the Patapsco River, including approaches to downtown Baltimore. Winds will remain light, but high tides could worsen standing water in flood-prone zones.

Conditions improve quickly on Monday with sunny skies and highs near 87 degrees. Travel hazards should ease by midday, though crews may need to clear debris from flooded streets. By Tuesday, mostly sunny skies and slightly cooler temperatures in the low 80s are expected across central Maryland.

Residents are encouraged to avoid driving through standing water, check storm drains near their homes, and remain alert for sudden weather updates through early Monday. Officials warn that additional advisories could be issued if rainfall lingers longer than expected.

Five-Day Forecast for Baltimore, Md.:

  • Monday: Sunny, high near 87. Northwest wind 5 to 10 mph.
  • Tuesday: Mostly sunny, high near 83. Winds from the west at 5 to 9 mph.
  • Wednesday: Sunny, high near 80. Overnight low around 61.
  • Thursday: Mostly sunny, high near 82. Light winds.
  • Friday: Partly cloudy, high near 84 with calm evening conditions.
