Baltimore, Maryland – A stalled boundary across the Mid-Atlantic will keep conditions unsettled through Friday, with dense morning fog and periods of rain likely to slow traffic on I-95, I-695, I-83 and U.S. 50. As warmer air lifts north, visibility early Thursday may fall below a mile in spots before widespread showers return during the afternoon.

According to the National Weather Service in Baltimore/Washington, rain chances will remain 80–100% today, with another push of moisture expected late tonight into Friday morning. High temperatures will range from the low to mid-40s, while overnight lows dip into the upper 30s. Friday remains damp across the region, with showers continuing through midday before decreasing later in the day.

Temperatures turn warmer Saturday, likely reaching the mid-40s to low 50s, which may offer a brief window of improving travel conditions along the I-270 spur, the Baltimore–Washington Parkway and I-97. However, a developing coastal low could bring a new round of precipitation late Sunday into Sunday night. Forecasters note a 40–70% chance of a rain-snow mix, especially north and west of the metro where colder air will arrive first.

By Monday, colder temperatures settle in, with highs struggling through the mid-30s and morning wind chills falling into the 20s. Lingering flurries may brush the suburbs during the early morning commute.

Drivers should plan for slower travel during fog periods, allow extra braking room on wet pavement and monitor updates as the weekend system becomes better defined. Additional advisories may be issued if snow placement shifts or if coastal development intensifies.
