Baltimore, MD – Maryland State Police arrested two men following separate road rage incidents involving firearms in Baltimore and Cecil counties this past March.

Cedric James, 33, of North East, Maryland, and Skyler Robinson, 23, of Owings Mills, Maryland, were both charged with first- and second-degree assault, use of a firearm in a crime of violence, and other related offenses. James is additionally facing charges for illegally possessing a firearm due to a prior felony conviction. He remains in custody at the Cecil County Detention Center, while Robinson is being held at the Baltimore County Detention Center without bond.

According to the Maryland State Police, the incidents began on March 19 when troopers from the North East Barrack received a call from a victim who was involved in a dispute on Pulaski Highway. The victim claimed that another driver, later identified as James, had brandished a firearm. While no shots were fired, investigators later identified James as a suspect. A search warrant executed on James’ residence led to his arrest and the seizure of a loaded handgun.

The second incident took place on March 20, when Robinson allegedly brandished a firearm on the outer loop of I-695 near Stevenson Road. The victim provided a description of the vehicle and its registration, but Robinson fled the scene before law enforcement arrived. A search for Robinson eventually led to his arrest on April 2, when police located him at a Royal Farms store. A search of his vehicle revealed a loaded un-serialized handgun hidden under the driver’s seat.

Both men face serious charges, and investigators continue to seek information on similar cases. The Maryland Department of State Police is also addressing gun violence across highways, including ongoing investigations into other unsolved cases.
