Carroll County, MD – Maryland State Police are investigating a theft in Eldersburg after a game store owner reported $19,000 worth of Pokémon trading cards stolen Saturday evening.

According to Maryland State Police, the incident happened on Sept. 6, 2025, around 6:50 p.m. when the store owner contacted troopers from the Westminster Barrack. The stolen merchandise was described as multiple collections of Pokémon cards with a significant resale value.
Police said they are working to identify two male suspects, both approximately 5-foot-7 to 5-foot-11 in height. One man was reportedly wearing a black hoodie, gray sweatpants, and white shoes. The other suspect was seen wearing a black hoodie with “Crooks Castles” written on the front along with blue jeans.

Authorities have not released additional details about how the suspects entered the store or whether surveillance footage captured the theft.
