Baltimore, MD – Thunderstorms are set to sweep through Baltimore tonight, kicking off a soggy stretch of spring weather that won’t ease until next week.

According to the National Weather Service, heavy rain and thunderstorms will roll in after 2 a.m. Friday. The chance of precipitation sits at 70%, with potential for gusty winds and rainfall totals reaching up to a quarter inch or more in storms. Commuters along I-95 and local roads should prepare for slick conditions during the Friday morning drive.

Friday remains damp with showers likely before 2 p.m. and continued cloudy skies. Daytime highs will hover near 68°F, with calm north winds around 6 mph. Friday night brings another round of thunderstorms, pushing the chance of precipitation to 70% again. Expect more overnight rain into early Saturday.

The weekend doesn’t offer much relief. Saturday will see scattered showers throughout the day with a high near 70°F. Showers are expected to linger through Sunday, potentially bringing thunderstorms again before 2 a.m. Monday. Sunday highs will reach 81°F before a cooldown early next week.

Looking ahead, skies finally begin to clear Monday, though light morning showers remain possible. Tuesday and Wednesday bring much-needed sunshine with daytime highs in the mid-50s.
