Salisbury, MD – Maryland State Police are renewing their plea for information in the unsolved murder of 10-year-old Tyron Colbert Jr., one year after the child was allegedly shot inside a Salisbury home. Authorities announced Tuesday that a reward of up to $25,000 remains available for tips leading to an arrest and conviction.

According to Maryland State Police, the Homicide Unit continues to lead the investigation with assistance from the Salisbury Police Department. Colbert was found with a gunshot wound around 10:30 p.m. on Aug. 5, 2024, in the 200 block of Clay Street after officers responded to a 911 call about a shooting. Police said the boy had been inside with his mother and two other children when the incident occurred. No suspect description has been released.

Investigators said the FBI, Maryland Department of State Police, and Crime Solvers of the Eastern Shore are collectively offering the reward in hopes of generating new leads. Officials emphasized that even seemingly minor details could help advance the case.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Solvers of the Eastern Shore at 410-548-1776. Tips can be submitted anonymously, and those providing credible information may be eligible for the reward.

The case remains open, and police say they are committed to finding justice for Colbert and his family.
