Hagerstown, MD – Two Hagerstown residents were arrested after Washington County authorities executed a pair of search warrants Friday that allegedly uncovered drugs, firearms and thousands in cash.

According to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, the Narcotics Task Force began investigating apartments at 132 South Locust Street and 368 South Cannon Avenue in July in connection with suspected distribution of controlled substances. Agents obtained warrants for both locations and, with the assistance of the county’s Special Response Team and Hagerstown Police drone operations, carried out searches on Friday.

Deputies allegedly recovered about 4 pounds of cocaine, 10.5 ounces of fentanyl, a loaded 12-gauge Mossberg shotgun, a Smith and Wesson 9mm handgun with an obliterated serial number, a loaded .32 caliber revolver, additional ammunition and more than $13,000 in cash.

Authorities said 57-year-old Timothy Grimes of Hagerstown was arrested and charged with multiple counts, including possession with intent to distribute cocaine and fentanyl, possession of large amounts of both drugs, firearm possession while having a prior conviction, firearm and drug trafficking offenses, and illegal possession of ammunition. He also faces charges of knowingly altering a firearm identification number and possession of a firearm without a serial number.

A second suspect, 39-year-old Heather Schnebly, also from Hagerstown, was charged with possession of cocaine and possession of paraphernalia.

The sheriff’s office said the investigation is ongoing and additional charges may be forthcoming.
