Finksburg, MD – A 33-year-old Baltimore man was arrested following a traffic stop in Carroll County that allegedly uncovered cocaine, fentanyl, cash and cell phones, authorities said.

According to the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office, deputies with the Pro-Active Community Enforcement Team conducted a traffic stop Wednesday afternoon on Baltimore Boulevard after observing a vehicle traveling eastbound with a driver suspected of having a warrant. The driver, identified as Christopher Phillip Santiful, allegedly did not have a valid license and was wanted out of Baltimore County and Baltimore City.

Deputies said a K9 unit conducted a scan of the vehicle, which resulted in a positive alert for controlled dangerous substances. During the search, investigators reportedly found 27.8 grams of cocaine, 13.2 grams of fentanyl, two cell phones, and $1,675 in cash.

Santiful was taken into custody and transported to Carroll County Central Booking. He was charged with four separate offenses related to possession with intent to distribute controlled substances, according to authorities.

As of Thursday, Santiful remained held at the Carroll County Detention Center. Police emphasized that all suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
