Garrett County, MD – A Winter Storm Watch has been issued for parts of Maryland and West Virginia, with snow and ice expected to create hazardous conditions beginning Sunday morning.
According to the National Weather Service (NWS), the storm could bring 1 to 3 inches of snow, with localized amounts of up to 6 inches possible in Garrett and Extreme Western Allegany counties in Maryland, as well as Western Mineral County in West Virginia. Additionally, freezing rain, potentially accumulating to one-quarter inch, is expected, particularly Sunday afternoon into early Monday morning.
