Baltimore, MD – Maryland residents can expect a mix of mild conditions and gusty winds this week, with potential snow showers in the mountains by midweek. Tuesday brings sunshine and increasing breeziness, especially in higher elevations.

According to the National Weather Service, Tuesday will start with mostly sunny skies and a high near 51 degrees in Baltimore. Winds could gust as high as 34 mph in the afternoon, especially in western areas like the Appalachians. Conditions will calm overnight into Wednesday before ramping up again.

By Wednesday evening, colder air could bring snow showers to mountainous regions. Residents in western valleys should prepare for slippery roads and reduced visibility. Temperatures will remain mild in urban areas, with highs around 46 degrees on Wednesday, but gusts reaching 38 mph may affect travel along key routes like I-70 and I-68.

Looking ahead, Thursday will see calmer conditions, though rain becomes likely Friday. The weekend could bring additional precipitation, with scattered showers persisting into Saturday.

Stay tuned for updates from the National Weather Service and plan ahead for potential delays or hazardous travel conditions midweek.
