Martinsburg, WV – A Berkeley County jury found a Martinsburg man guilty Wednesday of 53 child-related sex offenses, concluding a seven-day trial that prosecutors say brought justice for multiple victims in the community.

According to Berkeley County Prosecuting Attorney Joseph R. Kinser, 33-year-old Brandon Russell Warren was convicted November 12, 2025, on a sweeping list of felony and misdemeanor charges. The verdict includes counts of sexual abuse, sexual assault, incest, conspiracy, and multiple charges involving the distribution and possession of material depicting minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct.

Prosecutors said the offenses span numerous categories, including eight counts of Sexual Abuse by a Parent, Guardian, Custodian, or Person in a Position of Trust; seven counts of First-Degree Sexual Abuse; and several counts connected to the distribution of images of minors. The jury also convicted Warren of the felony offense of Filming a Minor in Sexually Explicit Conduct, solicitation of a minor, and domestic battery.

Kinser’s office said Warren now faces 243.5 to 778 years in prison, followed by 50 years of supervised release. He will also be required to register as a sex offender for life.

Upon the jury’s decision, Warren was immediately remanded to custody. Sentencing is scheduled for February 24, 2026, at 2:30 p.m. before Judge Laura V. Faircloth of the 27th Judicial Circuit.

The investigation involved the Martinsburg Police Department, Berkeley County Sheriff’s Department, and the West Virginia State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Unit. Kinser thanked multiple detectives and investigators for what he described as thorough and dedicated work.

He also recognized the support of victim advocates and former prosecutors who assisted in preparing the case, adding that the jury’s verdict represents “justice for the victims and the community.”
