Martin County, IN – A single-vehicle crash late Friday night in Martin County ended with the arrest of a 62-year-old Crawfordsville man on operating while intoxicated (OWI) and paraphernalia charges.

According to the Indiana State Police Jasper Post, Trooper Beau Brumett responded to the crash on U.S. 231 near Loogootee on September 26. The driver, identified as Steven J. Ford, was transported by ambulance to Deaconess Memorial Medical Center in Jasper.

Following a chemical test and medical clearance, Ford was arrested and booked into the Martin County Jail, where he remains held on bond.

Authorities confirmed Ford faces two misdemeanor charges: operating while intoxicated and possession of paraphernalia. Troopers stressed that all criminal defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
