Marquette, MI – Residents across Michigan’s Upper Peninsula can expect a warm and dry stretch of weather to carry through the work week, according to the National Weather Service in Marquette. Sunshine dominates the early part of the week, with highs climbing into the 70s and even near 80 degrees in some areas today.

According to the forecast, Tuesday and Wednesday will bring more cloud cover but still mild conditions, with afternoon highs ranging from the mid-60s to mid-70s. Overnight lows will dip into the upper 40s and lower 50s, keeping mornings crisp before warming quickly during the day.

Forecasters note a slight cooldown midweek, but temperatures rebound by Thursday and Friday as skies clear once again. Highs late in the week are projected to reach the upper 70s with comfortable overnight lows in the 50s to around 60.

This week’s forecast highlights an extended dry spell across the UP, with no significant rain chances expected through at least Friday. Residents planning outdoor activities should enjoy favorable weather, though morning and evening conditions may still feel cool.

As the region moves into October, meteorologists say this warm stretch is unusual but not unprecedented, giving residents a few extra days of summer-like conditions before fall settles in more fully.
