Marquette, MI – Residents across Michigan’s Upper Peninsula can expect a quiet, seasonable Saturday before breezy conditions and rain make a return late in the weekend, according to the U.S. National Weather Service in Marquette.

Forecasters say skies will gradually clear through the day as lake-effect clouds diminish, leading to highs between 56°F and 64°F. Tonight will be mostly clear to partly cloudy, with lows ranging from 40°F to 49°F.

By Sunday, conditions will turn breezier, with highs climbing to between 61°F and 67°F. Rain is expected to move into the western half of the U.P. Sunday night as lows dip to the upper 40s and mid-50s. The system will spread eastward by Monday, bringing showers across the region and daytime highs between 58°F and 66°F.

The National Weather Service encourages residents to take advantage of the dry Saturday conditions for outdoor plans before unsettled weather returns. Fall foliage remains near its seasonal peak across many parts of the Upper Peninsula, offering scenic views before rainfall sets in early next week.
