Kankakee, IL – Families with young children are invited to a free Early Childhood Fair later this month in downtown Kankakee, offering access to vital services, fun activities, and complimentary vision screenings.

According to event organizers with the United Way of Kankakee and Iroquois Counties, the fourth annual Success By 6 Early Childhood Fair will take place Saturday, June 28, from 8 a.m. to noon at the Kankakee Farmers Market, located at 250 S Schuyler Ave. If inclement weather occurs, the fair may be moved indoors.

This free event is geared toward parents and children from birth through age six and will feature nearly 20 booths with local service providers. Attendees can enjoy games, hands-on activities, and receive early childhood development information, including health, nutrition, and educational support.

Participating organizations include the City of Kankakee’s Early Childhood Development Agency, Riverside Healthcare, YMCA Childcare Center, Easterseals Jumpstart, Iroquois Mental Health Center, and more. The event will also showcase local preschools, mental health resources, and parenting supports.
