Deputies said the incident began around 11 p.m. Thursday, November 13, when three individuals on minibikes were spotted weaving through traffic in the Lancaster and Ward area, reportedly running a red light and nearly colliding with several vehicles.

When deputies tried to stop one of the riders, identified as 22-year-old Nakoda James Lucas, he allegedly fled. The chase ended near Fisher Road and Stortz Avenue after Lucas’s minibike broke down.

According to the sheriff’s office, Lucas was found carrying a Glock 27 .40-caliber pistol concealed in his waistband. Deputies said he did not have a valid concealed handgun license.

Lucas was booked into the Marion County Jail on charges of felony elude, reckless driving, and carrying a concealed weapon.
