Indianapolis, IN – Detectives with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department’s (IMPD) Violent Crimes Unit (VCU) and the US Marshals Task Force have arrested three suspects in connection with three separate shooting investigations across the city.
According to IMPD News, the first arrest involved 31-year-old Dennis Kendall, apprehended for his alleged role in a southwest Indianapolis shooting that critically injured one person on September 15, 2025. Officers responded to Wilkins Street and found a man with gunshot wounds. Kendall, allegedly armed, was taken into custody after further investigation led to charges of aggravated battery, intimidation, and firearm possession by a domestic batterer.
In a separate case, 23-year-old Dasia Jackson was taken into custody on October 6, 2025, on a murder warrant for the September 4 shooting of 24-year-old Ronnie Ameen. Officers had responded to a crash on East 37th Street, where Ameen was found shot and later pronounced deceased. Detectives identified Jackson as the suspected shooter following consultation with the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office.
The third arrest involved 32-year-old Che’Anne Miller, allegedly connected to a September 29 shooting on East 21st Street. The male victim survived with gunshot wounds. Investigators cited video footage and witness accounts in identifying Miller, who now faces charges including aggravated battery and criminal recklessness.
