Scottsdale, AZ – Deputies in Maricopa County arrested a 24-year-old man Saturday night following a deadly shooting in Scottsdale that led to a police pursuit and crash, authorities confirmed.

According to the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO), multiple 911 calls came in around the 34000 block of 140th Way in Scottsdale on November 15, 2025, reporting shots fired. Responding deputies discovered an adult male dead in the front yard of a residence. Witnesses told investigators they saw a suspect flee the scene in a black sedan.

During an attempted traffic stop shortly after, the suspect allegedly collided with a fully marked MCSO patrol vehicle. Deputies then took him into custody and identified him as Antwain Clark Jr., 24. He was booked into the ITR facility on charges of second-degree murder, officials said.

No deputies were seriously injured during the crash. Investigators have not yet released the identity of the victim pending family notification.

MCSO commended its Patrol and Homicide Divisions for their quick response, calling their actions instrumental in bringing closure to the case. The investigation remains ongoing.
