Denver, CO – A stretch of mild, springlike weather in Denver will give way to rain and snow starting Monday night, March 4. While the weekend remains warm and sunny, a storm system moving into Colorado will bring increasing chances of precipitation and colder temperatures through midweek.

According to the National Weather Service, Sunday, March 2, will be mostly sunny with a high of 63°F, followed by a low of 34°F. Winds will shift northward in the afternoon but remain light. The first chance of rain arrives Monday afternoon, with a 40% probability of showers after 11 a.m. Temperatures will reach 62°F before cooling down as precipitation increases overnight.

By Monday night, rain is expected to mix with snow, with a 90% chance of precipitation. Snowfall could accumulate in higher elevations, and roads may become slick during the transition. Drivers on I-25 and surrounding highways should prepare for potential delays.

Tuesday, March 5, will bring breezy conditions with snow likely in the morning and a high of just 44°F. The system will taper off Tuesday night, leaving partly cloudy skies and a low near 22°F.

Looking ahead, Wednesday, March 6, will be mostly sunny with a high near 49°F. However, another round of precipitation is possible Thursday, with snow showers and a mix of rain expected.

Travelers and commuters should stay updated on road conditions and prepare for shifting weather early this week.
