Manchester, NH – A Manchester man is dead following a motorcycle crash Monday afternoon on Interstate 293 southbound, according to New Hampshire State Police.

At around 2:24 p.m. on Monday, October 6, 2025, troopers from the Troop B barracks responded to reports of a crash near Exit 6 in Manchester.

According to investigators, Matthew R. Alosa, 59, of Manchester, was traveling south on a black 2009 Harley-Davidson when he allegedly failed to negotiate a left turn. The motorcycle veered off the right side of the road into a wooded area, where it came to a stop.

State Police said Alosa suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by members of the Manchester Fire Department.

During the investigation, the right lane of I-293 southbound and the Eddy Road on-ramp were closed for several hours. All lanes reopened shortly before 5:30 p.m.

Troopers were assisted by Manchester police and fire as well as the New Hampshire Department of Transportation. The crash remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact Trooper Parker Bell at (603) 223-4381 or Parker.R.Bell@dos.nh.gov.
