Man Shot in Bolingbrook During Carjacking Incident

Bolingbrook, Illinois – A 20-year-old man was shot in the leg during a carjacking in Bolingbrook late last night. 

According to the Bolingbrook Police Department, officers responded to a report of shots fired at 450 N Bolingbrook Drive around 11:47 pm, where they discovered the victim. Initial reports suggest that the victim was confronted by two masked individuals, one identified as a Black male and the other as a Hispanic male, after leaving work. 

They demanded his vehicle, a black Dodge Charger, and subsequently shot him in the leg before fleeing in the stolen car. The victim received immediate medical attention and is in stable condition. The suspects, along with the stolen vehicle, remain at large. 

The Bolingbrook Police Department is actively investigating the incident and encourages anyone with information to come forward. Anonymous tips can be submitted to the Bolingbrook Police Department’s Investigations Division or through Crime Stoppers.
