Man in Mokena Confronted by Masked Assailant in Car, Shot Over Phone

MOKENA, IL — Tensions are on the rise in Mokena after a 32-year-old man was shot in the shoulder over a phone by a masked individual. 

According to police reports the shocking incident took place in broad daylight on the 19500 Block of Glennell Avenue, where the victim was seated in his car. After the brazen attack, the assailant fled on foot, leaving the community in alarm. 

While initial findings suggest it’s an isolated case, Mokena Police Department continues their investigation.
