Caribou, Maine – A stretch of sunny, mild weather will bring a springtime feel to much of Maine, with inland high temperatures climbing into the low to mid-60s Monday and pushing near 70 degrees by Tuesday.
According to the National Weather Service in Caribou, high pressure is building to the southwest, setting the stage for mostly clear skies and comfortable highs today. Tonight, lows will dip near 40°F, offering crisp but pleasant conditions for the overnight hours.
By Tuesday, areas including Bangor, Millinocket, and Presque Isle can expect partial sunshine to give way to increasing clouds and a stronger south wind. Inland towns such as Houlton, Lincoln, and Fort Kent are likely to see highs around 70°F. The NWS advises residents to secure loose outdoor items and plan for gusty breezes as winds pick up late Tuesday.
A cold front arrives early Wednesday, sweeping cooler air across the state. Expect mostly sunny skies to return but with brisk, gusty northwesterly winds and daytime highs dropping back into the 50s and 60s. Residents are encouraged to take advantage of the mild weather before conditions turn cooler and windier midweek. More updates will follow if new advisories are issued.
