Caribou, ME – A weather system moving into Maine will bring rain on Tuesday, with possible snow showers in northern areas. The weather is expected to clear by the weekend, with temperatures gradually moderating, reaching into the 50s by Saturday.

According to the National Weather Service in Caribou, the rain will start late Tuesday morning, continuing into the evening. Snow showers could also affect northern regions, including Houlton and Millinocket. This precipitation is expected to be heaviest in the central and northern parts of the state.

Tonight, temperatures will drop to around 30°F in northern areas, including Fort Kent and Caribou, with lows near 35°F in Bangor and the coastal region.

Rain chances will remain high Tuesday, ranging from 80% to 95% across much of the state, with the likelihood decreasing as the week progresses. By Saturday, the forecast suggests temperatures will moderate into the mid-50s, signaling a return to milder spring conditions.

Residents are advised to be prepared for wet conditions and possible snow in the northern areas, and to monitor local forecasts for updates.
