Caribou, ME – Northern Maine will enjoy a calm and sunny Saturday as high pressure dominates the region, bringing dry air, light winds, and temperatures in the 50s, according to the National Weather Service in Caribou.

Forecasters say skies will remain mostly clear through the day with light north winds, providing a pleasant break from recent unsettled weather. Highs will range from the mid-50s to upper 50s across much of Aroostook County and the northern tier.

Clouds are expected to increase late tonight, but temperatures will stay above freezing, preventing frost formation. The next chance of rain arrives early next week, with another round of showers possible by midweek as a new weather system moves in from the west.

Travelers and outdoor enthusiasts can expect ideal conditions Saturday, though the NWS recommends staying updated on early-week rain forecasts.
