Caribou, Maine – Unsettled weather is expected to continue across Maine over the next several days, with multiple rounds of rain showers and cloudy skies. However, widespread heavy rainfall is not expected at this time.

Rain showers tonight will mainly affect areas along and southeast of I-95, including locations like Bangor and Bar Harbor. According to the National Weather Service, patchy fog is also possible in these areas, which could reduce visibility. Though rain will persist, the likelihood of a thunderstorm or rumble of thunder is low.

The rain will continue in pockets across the state, with higher chances of showers developing by late Wednesday into Wednesday night, particularly north and west of Katahdin. Travelers in these areas should be prepared for reduced visibility and potentially slick roads. Wednesday night temperatures will drop into the 40s and 50s, with cooler air settling into the north.

Thursday will see drier conditions across Maine, though skies will remain mostly cloudy. The forecast indicates that high temperatures will remain in the 40s and 50s in northern regions, while the south may reach into the 60s. A brief, isolated shower may occur in the Crown of Maine during the morning.

Looking ahead, additional rain showers are expected to develop late Friday into Saturday. As for Sunday, sunshine is expected to return with drier conditions across the state, providing a pleasant end to the weekend.
