Saturday brings a brief break. Skies brighten at times, and highs climb near 37 with breezy northwest winds. Conditions deteriorate again Saturday night as snow redevelops after dark. Temperatures fall into the teens, setting the stage for accumulating snowfall.
Sunday is the main impact day. Snow becomes widespread, and confidence is increasing in at least 5 to 6 inches across portions of northern Maine, including Caribou and surrounding communities.
