According to the National Weather Service in Caribou, a slight chance of showers in the morning will escalate to scattered thunderstorms by mid-afternoon, especially along key corridors like Route 1 and Route 89. Southwest winds will shift northwest by evening, with gusts reaching 16 mph. Rainfall amounts are expected to remain light, but isolated downpours may occur within thunderstorm cells.

Residents and travelers should stay alert for sudden downpours, brief gusty winds, and limited visibility on roads through Tuesday evening. Lightning may also be a hazard in open areas and during commutes. Those with outdoor plans should have indoor alternatives and avoid open spaces after 2 p.m.

Wednesday brings a higher chance of widespread showers and storms, especially after 1 p.m., with another round expected Wednesday night. Temperatures cool slightly midweek before rebounding just in time for the weekend.
