Caribou, ME – Snow showers will persist across Maine this evening, with additional accumulation of 1 to 3 inches expected, particularly in Interior Downeast regions.
According to the National Weather Service in Caribou, snow will taper off just after midnight north of Katahdin and early Tuesday morning for Bangor and Downeast Maine. Scattered snow showers will continue in northern areas on Tuesday, accompanied by dry but colder conditions with breezy northwesterly winds.
Tuesday night and Wednesday night will remain dry and cold. However, a low-pressure system is expected to bring several inches of snow on Thursday. Another storm system could arrive later next weekend, potentially bringing additional snowfall.
