Bangor, ME — Dry and breezy conditions will dominate the weather across Maine through Friday, with gusty winds and chilly overnight lows well below freezing inland.

According to the National Weather Service in Caribou, westerly winds will gust between 25 and 35 mph today. High temperatures will reach the 40s in northern areas like Fort Kent and Caribou, while Bangor and Downeast cities like Bar Harbor and Machias climb into the low 50s. Skies will remain mostly sunny south of Katahdin, and partly sunny to the north.

Overnight temperatures tonight will fall into the teens and 20s across much of northern and central Maine, with lows near 30°F along the coast. Dry conditions will persist into Friday, although increasing cloud cover is expected in the afternoon.

Light rain will begin Friday night and continue into Saturday, with amounts likely staying under 0.25 inches. Rain will taper to scattered showers Saturday evening, especially in eastern areas like Eastport and Calais. Conditions are expected to clear by Sunday, with dry and breezy weather returning.
