According to the National Weather Service in Caribou, showers are likely after 2 p.m. on Sunday, July 20, with thunderstorms expected between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m., then again in the early evening. Roads like U.S. Route 1 and ME-89 could see ponding or poor visibility. Sunday’s high will be near 72°F, with winds shifting from the south at 6 to 8 mph, then turning west.

Residents should secure outdoor items and avoid travel during active storms. If thunder roars, head indoors immediately and charge mobile devices in advance.

Sunday night brings a 40% chance of lingering thunderstorms, especially between 11 p.m. and 2 a.m. Temperatures will dip to around 51°F, with northwest winds between 6 and 8 mph.

Next week brings calmer weather. Monday, a slight chance of showers returns early before skies clear and highs climb to 66°F. Tuesday and Wednesday will offer a dry, cooler break, with highs in the mid-70s and sunshine prevailing.
