New Hampshire starts the day with a biting wind and powdery snow skimming across open roads in Manchester. The temperature sits near 25 degrees, but northwest winds push wind chills down to 13. Drivers along I-93 and Route 101 report brief bursts of blowing snow reducing visibility.

According to the National Weather Service in Gray, Maine, patchy blowing snow continues through the morning as winds gust near 25 mph. Skies gradually brighten, yet highs struggle to reach 28 degrees. Any snowmelt refreezes quickly in shaded areas, creating classic late-February flash freeze spots.

Conditions shift quickly tonight as clouds increase. Snow develops Wednesday afternoon, and forecasters assign a 90 percent chance of measurable snowfall. New accumulation between 1 and 2 inches is possible by late day. Roads may turn slushy during the evening commute, especially on bridges and untreated secondary streets.

Temperatures rebound to the mid-30s Wednesday before dipping into the low 20s by early Thursday. That drop could refreeze leftover moisture. Plan extra time if traveling early Thursday.

Thursday stays partly sunny with highs near 38 degrees, followed by another chance of snow showers Thursday night. By Friday, sunshine returns and highs hold near the upper 30s.

Looking ahead, milder air builds this weekend. Saturday climbs toward the mid-40s, offering a preview of early spring. However, colder air may swing back early next week with highs near the lower 20s Monday.
