Maine, New Hampshire Brace for Potential Tornadoes Tonight

Portland, ME – The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a Tornado Watch for parts of western Maine, northern, and central New Hampshire until midnight EDT on Wednesday.

According to the NWS Storm Prediction Center, thunderstorms will move eastward from Vermont this evening, potentially producing tornadoes and isolated damaging wind gusts up to 70 mph. The watch area extends approximately 50 miles north and south of a line from 35 miles west to 30 miles east of Mount Washington, NH.

Residents are advised to stay alert to changing weather conditions and monitor local news for further updates and potential warnings.
