Augusta, ME – A 54-year-old Augusta man was killed Thursday afternoon following a single-vehicle crash on an I-95 off-ramp, police said.

According to Maine State Police, the crash happened at approximately 1:04 p.m. on the southbound Exit 113 off-ramp in Augusta. Investigators said Shaun McFarlin was driving a 2006 Ford pickup truck when he left the roadway, causing the vehicle to roll over.

Troopers reported McFarlin was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities said speed is believed to have contributed to the accident.

The off-ramp was closed for about 90 minutes as crews worked the scene. Augusta Fire & Rescue, Maine Department of Transportation, and AC Towing assisted state police in the response.

Officials continue to investigate the crash.
