Madison, Wisconsin: Shooting at Apartment Party Sunday Injures 10, Including Teens

Madison, WI – Multiple people were injured during a shooting at a party early Sunday morning at the Lux apartment building on Johnson Street.

According to police, the incident occurred around 12:45 a.m. Officers initially responded to reports of a large party on the rooftop. As they arrived, dispatchers alerted them to shots fired. Dozens of people were seen screaming and running from the building.

At least ten individuals, aged 14 to 23, were injured, though not all injuries were gunshot wounds. All injuries are reported to be non-life-threatening. The Violent Crime Unit is leading the investigation, interviewing victims and witnesses, and reviewing digital evidence.

No arrests have been made. Johnson Street and surrounding areas were closed for several hours but have since reopened. Madison EMS provided emergency care at the scene. Updates will follow as the investigation progresses.
