According to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a 9:24 a.m. call from Macon-Bibb E-911 reporting a male had been shot near the 6000 block of Harrison Road. Deputies arrived and located a man unresponsive with a gunshot wound. Paramedics transported him to a medical facility, where he succumbed to his injuries.

Chief Deputy Coroner Lonnie Miley confirmed the death and said the victim has not yet been identified. No additional injuries have been reported in connection with the incident.
